Applications should be sent to:
	COMPETENT AUTHORITY CONTACT DETAILS	Applications should be submitted personally in the Diplomatic and Consular Representatives of Latvia abroad. Citizens of EEA countries and Switzerland as well as exchange students can submit the applications directly in Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs.
The Application
	APPLICATION ENCLOSURES	For a student: A definite sample form for a residence permit request; A photography; A statement on fluorography or x-ray examining results; A statement on punishability issued by a competent institution of the citizenship or the host country (for a foreigner more than 14 years old), if a foreigner has resided in that country longer than 12 months (note: should be submitted only in case if a person requires a visa for travelling to the EU countries); A document confirming the necessary subsistence; A document confirming the envisaged place of residence in the Republic of Latvia and the rights to stay there; A document confirming the state duty payment; An agreement on studies in the Republic of Latvia; Documents confirming that the necessary education to start the studies is acquired. For an employee: A definite sample form for a residence permit request; A photography; A statement on fluorography or x-ray examining results; A statement on punishability issued by a competent institution of the citizenship or the host country (for a foreigner more than 14 years old), if a foreigner has resided in that country longer than 12 months (note: should be submitted only in case if a person requires a visa for travelling to the EU countries); A document confirming the necessary subsistence; A document confirming the envisaged place of residence in the Republic of Latvia and the rights to stay there; A document confirming the state duty payment; A labour invitation approved at the State Employment Agency (to approve an invitation an employer should register a vacancy one month prior to invitation of foreigner and submit a copy of the certification acknowledging qualifications or equivalent document, which certify conformity of the professional qualifications with the requirements provided for in the Republic of Latvia).
Further requirements
	LANGUAGE APTITUDE TEST RECOGNITION	For an employee in physiotherapy (health care) – Latvian language (for more cases compulsory); considerable level of education and passed examination of certification in physiotherapy (Latvian Physiotherapist Association)
