APPLICATION ENCLOSURES | In Sweden, physiotherapist is a protected professional title that may be used only by those who hold a licence to practise. The Swedish training to become a physiotherapist consists of three years of higher education. The procedure to apply for a licence differs for persons who received their training in an EEA Member State and those who received their training in “Third country. EEA Member state refers to the European Union Member States and to Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. References to EEA Member States below also apply to Switzerland. LANGUAGE APTITUDE TEST RECOGNITION | The Swedish association has automatic recognition of migrants from other EU (European Union) countries. Adaptation periods and aptitude tests are generally not required but the association reserves the right to prove each case individually. Knowledge of the host country's language is desirable and must in some cases be achieved. The migrant applicant does not have to meet any special conditions to become a member of the association.
