		              INFORMATION AND NUMBERS
			       |
			        |
There are 17 Faculties of Physical Education and Sport and 1 Faculty of Science which prepare "kinetoterapeuti" and 10 Universities of Medicine which prepare"balneofiziokinetoterapeuti", with about 700 students per year. All the graduates are included in Romanian Classification of Occupation at Physioterapists.  Studies take 3 years (180ECT) and result in an academic degree/diploma. Studies allow for postgraduate courses. Physiotherapists are involved in both teaching and research. Romania has recognition of physiotherapy specialists but doesn't have the regulation of the profession. |
