Since the description of specialisation within physiotherapy has been an ongoing process in the ER-WCPT since 1996, the Executive Committee is pleased to present the following document, prepared by the Education Working Group of the European Region of the WCPT and adopted at the 2006  and 2008 General Meeting in Sibenik, containing a:

• Interim report on recommendation on Specialisation for Physiotherapists within the European Region of the WCPT (Download as PDF file)
• Recommendation for a proposed model for the development of Specialisation within Physiotherapy in the European Region of the WCPT

The Interim report on recommendation on Specialisation for Physiotherapists within the European Region of the WCPT is picture-document describing the situation in the Member Organisations, the existing areas of specialisation within the countries and the conclusions extracted from the 11 answers / comments received to the questionnaire sent to the Member Organisations. This part had as annexes the General Framework for Specialisation for Physiotherapists within the European Region of WCPT as approved at the 2004 GM and also the blank questionnaire sent to the Member Organisations as well the address of the contact person from the Member Organisations who had answered.  The Recommendation for a proposed model for the development of Specialisation within Physiotherapy in the European Region of the WCPT is a recommendation itself on Specialisation.

At the 2010 GM was presented and approved a Monitoring Report on Specialisation for Physiotherapists within the European Region of the WCPT. (Download the Monitoring Report as a PDF file)
